Since retiring from baseball in 2008, Steve has worked in the financial services industry with Bank of America and First Data Corporation. He was raised in Houston, Texas and attended Texas Tech University, playing baseball for the Red Raiders all four years, graduating with a B.A. in Finance. Following his college career, Steve spent seven seasons playing in the Texas Rangers organization. He was honored to be selected to the National Review Institute Regional Fellowship program in 2016. He is involved in music ministry, men’s retreat ministry, and a member of the parish leadership council at his local parish. Steve and his wife Monica live in Arlington, Texas and have three children, Trey, Audrey, and Fiona.
